i have been involved in conversation over on the

forum over the last few days, engaging with many of the reactionary folks who, understandably upset by the violence as we all are, have decide to spit their fury at the only group with a high enough profile to be easily googled.
the lack of intelligence is staggering, as is the seeming inability to read anyone else's posts.
the introductory topics that explain
g8alternatives constitution are all but ignored, as are the reassurances that they are a peaceful organisation.
i have been met with various attacks, the most common being that i should leave 'their' country. quite apart from the jingoism inherent in that statement, and the ignorance of the global political stage that is the backdrop to the g8, they miss one vital point:
